Flick Flock at Campus Party Brazil

Flick Flock, by Wendy Ann Mansilla and Jordi Puig, developed last year at BALTAN Laboratories in collaboration with Piksel, will be shown at Campus Party Brazil in Sao Paulo from January 25-31, 2010.

Campus Party is an annual event that brings together thousands of participants with their computers from all over the world in order to share their concerns and experiences and carry out a whole range of different activities related to computers, communications and new technologies.

INVITATION TO THE OPENING OF THE FUTURE OF THE LAB

From November 30th until December 2nd, BALTAN Laboratories is hosting an international expert meeting titled The Future of the Lab at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. These three days bring together participants from media art labs and lab programmes worldwide – from Australia to Chile, to the Netherlands and Switzerland – to challenge and debate future strategies and forms of the laboratory (or media lab) and the importance of research and production spaces for artists and creative professionals working with technology. pd_opencv 0.2-rc4

after a week of intensive workshop in BALTAN  laboratories
a new version of OpenCV for PD has been released,
version 0.2-rc4 that fixes the following issues :

version 0.2-rc4 ( codename BALTANIK )

* fixed colorspace problems for mac ppc
* contours detection objects ( hu_compare and pgh_compare ) now give the posititon of matching contours.
* a folder of examples have been added, they should work with pd-extended.
