The 9th annual Piksel Festival for Electronic Art and Technological Freedom.

The 9th edition of the Piksel Festival takes place on November 17th-20th 2011. The festival subtitle re:public connects to various strategies for rethinking and redefining public space, both as a concrete physical space, and in a larger social and political context.

The festival is divided into a day program consisting of presentations and hands-on workshops, an evening program of live art performances, interventions in the center of Bergen and several exhibitions – all on the topic of free technology and art.

The presentations and liveart events take place at Landmark, StudioUSF, Kafe Knøderen and KNIPSU, and the workshops are held at KNIPSU and PikselHut. The festival main desk are located at KNIPSU.

The main festival exhibition is held at Galleri 3,14 and will be up from November 18th 2011 – January 9th 2012. In addition, several artworks are exhibited at KNIPSU and Kafe Knøderen during the festival period.

FESTIVAL PASS/DAY PASS
The day program consisting of the exhibitions, workshops and presentations, is free to attend.

For the evening program you will need a festival pass/day pass.
A festival pass is 250 NOK and will give you free entry to the evening events all days.
The day pass is 100 NOK.

Registration for the festival and workshops can be done at the online registration or by sending a mail to piksel11 [AT] piksel.no.

Festival- and daypasses can be picked up and paid for at the festival desk at KNIPSU or at the door for live events.

Workshops are free but some has a fee for materials. (Check costs)
Fees can be paid at the workshop location where needed.
