The Stormy Thursdays continues

February thus far has consisted of successful weekly gatherings of creatives exploring sensors, AI and open source technology. Based on positive feedback, Stormy Thursdays are continuing in March as a space for exploration, creativity and community. Artists, Tech Enthusiasts, Creatives and those intrigued by the intersection of art and technology are welcome to join, interact, share and work on own projects and ideas.

The workshops takes place each Thursday from 17:00 – 20:00 at Studio 207, Strandgaten 207.

Piksel Kidz; to be moved to May

We're excited to offer two engaging Piksel Kidz workshops this year:

  • Discovering Plant Magic: A Sensory Adventure with Soft Sensors for KidZ
  • Create your own show with live coding visuals. LIVE Coding!

What's new for 2024 is the relocation of the workshops, typically scheduled for November, to May.

The workshops repeats at specified dates, with allocated time for school classes and individual kids, youth and parents.

Discovering Plant Magic: A Sensory Adventure with Soft Sensors for KidZ

Led by the artists María Castellanos and Alberto Valverde.

When:

  • Tuesday 21st of May, 10:00 -13:00 (For schools)
  • Saturday 25th of May from 12:00-15:00 (For individual kids and parents.)

Duration: 3 hours. (With breaks)
Age: 10-18 years old.
Place: Studio 207, Strandgaten 207, Bergen City

"Discovering Plant Magic," is a workshop where kids will embark on a captivating journey into the world of plants using soft sensors and IoT technology. In this hands-on experience, we'll explore the incredible abilities of plants and create "soft sensors" to unveil the secrets of their hidden language.

29th – 31st May

Create your own show with live coding visuals. LIVE Coding!

Duration: 3 hours.
The workshop repeats every day in 2 possible schedules:

  • 10:00 to 13:00 for schools
  • 16:00-19:00 for individual kids.

Age: 10-18 years old.
Place: Studio 207, Strandgaten 207, Bergen City

In this workshop, attendees will be introduced to Hydra - a live coding environment created by Olivia Jack. Using live programming, they will have the opportunity to explore image and camera manipulation and create unique visuals. Additionally, we will discuss the various formats where video plays a crucial role, such as live concerts, art installations, and music videos.
