Introducing a new concept: Stormy Thursday's

Each Thursday for the upcoming weeks, Piksel are hosting a series of interactive workshops, creating a space for exploration, creativity and community. Artists, Tech Enthusiasts, Creatives and those intrigued by the intersection of art and technology are welcome to join, interact, share and work on own projects and ideas.

The workshops takes place each Thursday from 17:00 – 20:00 at Studio 207, Strandgaten 207.

IDLE (Inclusive Digital Laboratory for Experimental Art):

The recently concluded EFFEA residency was highly successful, marking a significant step forward in the development of HYDRA instances within IDLE.

January and February are dedicated to further developments, with Flor de Fuego and Blaz Pavlica building upon the momentum generated during their residency.

Together with Malitzin Cortés and Iván Abreu, they continue the process of developing and introducing virtual instruments and collaborative tools in the IDLE realm, further elevating the capabilities of the platform.

Piksel is an international event for artists and developers working with Free/Libre and Open Source technologies in artistic practice.

Founded in 2003, it is organised in Bergen, Norway, and involves participants from more than a dozen countries exchanging ideas, coding, presenting art and software projects, doing workshops, performances and discussions on the aesthetics and politics of art and free technologies.

Piksel is supported by the Municipality of Bergen, Arts Council Norway and others.
