Piksel (No) Festival: 23rd -25th November – 2023

This year Piksel is doing a (no) festival, a new festival format guided by the curators Joanna Moll and !Mediengruppe Bitnik. There will be tours around the city and we will be parasiting public spaces and venues for short time periods to execute Piksel activities. The subject is energy infrastructures and the gap between them, the citizens and society.

To ensure a successful festival, the curatorial team will undertake a research trip to Bergen in September 2023. During this trip, they will meet with local artists who explore energy parasitism and infrastructure critique in their work. These discussions will help finalize the list of locations for the tour and allow for meaningful collaborations with the local artistic community.

Due to the new festival format, there will be no open call for artists this year.

Digital Inclusion of Youth

One of our in-house Piksel team members have been invited to join the Erasmus+ Training Course Digital Inclusion of Youth, taking place in Lębork, Poland, 20th -26th of August.

Participating in such a project aims to enhance necessary knowledge and skills to guide young people in navigating the digital world responsibly and critically, which is useful when working with Piksels ongoing projects such as Piksel Kidz and IDLE (Inclusive Digital Laboratory for Electronic Art).
