Lee Azzarello walks the line between art and technology. He works primarily with software to create sound, visual and interactive pieces. In the first part of the 21st century he composed sound for gallery installations in collaboration with Uri Dotan, who showed the pieces in Vienna (gallery Heiki Curtze) and New York (Paul Rogers gallery and Exit Art). Currently Lee is the Staff Hacker for Free103point9 Transmission Arts. He is also working on pointless software like Shitfone: The First In Features, a short film and collaborating with other artists to integrate a software component into performance pieces. He is proficient with the Pure Data programming environment. He also has an unhealthy fascination with Chuck, the strongly-timed language for sound performance. He believes all software should be free.
